Strawberry Fair

Our stall at Strawberry Fair was taken on (with thanks to them) by the student group. Thanks to the group members who also staffed the stall throughout the day.

We managed to fill 5 pages of a petition for Thet Win Aung and cover the A3 birthday card for Aung San Suu Kyi with well wishers signatures.

Aung San Suu Kyi will be 61 years old on the 19th of June. The card will be available at our meeting on June 8 for those present to sign before it is sent off to Burma and into the hands of the regime.

DSCF0991

The group also constructed a Muppet version of Senior General Than Shwe carrying a banner reading : "Burma Generals, Free Aun San Suu Kyi" - Amnesty International

It seemed to be a great hit with the revellers who took lots of pictures.

The Control Arms million faces petition gained some support on the stall too in addition to some Stop Violence Against Women info.
